Who we are

AI Assistant, the app for Even Realities G2 glasses, is run by Seeing Systems Europe Limited (company 17017240, registered in England and Wales at 82 St. John Street, London EC1M 4JN), the data controller for the personal data described here. Write to matt@seeing-systems.com about anything in this policy.

What the app does with sound

While AI Assistant is listening, the glasses' microphones pick up speech around you: yours and that of anyone near you. The audio goes from the glasses to the Even Realities app on your phone, and from the phone straight to ElevenLabs, our speech-to-text provider, which turns it into text in real time. We do not record or store the audio, and it never passes through our server. When the room has been quiet for a minute, the app stops sending audio until there is sound again.

The recent text of the conversation, any notes you have written in the app, and the notes it showed you recently are sent to the AI model you chose, which decides whether to show you a new note. The text is used only to produce that note.

With AI Assistant credit, the text passes through our server to OpenRouter, which forwards it to the model's provider (Anthropic, OpenAI or Google, depending on the model you chose). Our server does not store the text or the notes.
With your own keys, your phone sends audio to ElevenLabs and the text to the provider you chose, under your own accounts. Nothing goes through our server.

The people around you have not chosen to use AI Assistant. Tell them when it is on, and do not use it where recording conversation is not allowed or where they object.

Tools the assistant can use

If web search is on, the AI model can search the web when a note needs it. The search terms come from the conversation and go to the model provider's search service.

If you add MCP servers (your own tools, such as a calendar), the assistant can send them requests built from the conversation and use their answers in a note. With AI Assistant credit, those requests go from our server: your phone sends the server's address and token with each request, and we do not store the token. We keep the list of tools a server offers for up to ten minutes so we do not have to ask it every time. With your own Anthropic key, Anthropic makes those requests instead.

What we keep

For AI Assistant credit we keep, on our server:

A random account key that identifies your phone (we store only a hash of it), your Even Realities user ID and the country the Even app reports, and the IP address you signed up from. We use the user ID and IP address only to limit free credit to one grant per person.
Your balance, and a record of each charge and top-up: when, which model, how many tokens or minutes of listening, and the cost.
For each top-up, the Stripe payment reference and amount. Stripe takes your payment; we never see your card or wallet details.

Your notes, model choice and any keys you enter stay in the Even Realities app's storage on your phone.

Our web host also keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, page requested). Our server's own error log never contains conversation text.

Who else processes it

ElevenLabs: speech to text.
OpenRouter and the provider of the model you choose (Anthropic, OpenAI or Google): producing notes.
Stripe: payments.
Our web host, which runs our server.
Even Realities, whose app AI Assistant runs inside, under its own privacy policy.

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models.

How long

We keep your account and its records while you use AI Assistant. When you ask us to delete your account we delete it, except payment records we have to keep for tax and accounting law, which we keep only as long as that law requires.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing matt@seeing-systems.com with the account number shown at the bottom of the app's phone screen. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
